Bissell Powerlifter

You may want to stay away from Bissell Powerlifter. I don't say that often, but this vacuum cleaner seems to be a lemon. I can understand that a percentage of products are faulty, but how to call a shampooer that is a lemon to most people out there? Well, you call it a Bissell Powerlifter.

For the price, it's not that bad, some would say. But how can you explain that most of the water simply stays in the carpet? The Powerlifter doesn't have enough power to actually suck the water in the tank. From half a gallon of clean water with shampoo, only 1/4 of a cup will be returned to the vacuum cleaner container. Everything else stays to rot on your carpet. Yup, that's right. It's a filthy liquid that will get sticky and stay at the bottom of your rugs. No matter how many times you run the vacuum over, the water will stay on the carpet.

This is the fact that most people complain about, some more, some less. The difference is how much did they expect from the cleaning machine. Well, when you pay $44 for it, you know it can't do much. People confuse this Bissell Powerlifter with a carpet steam cleaner, but that's not what it is. It's a simple shampooer, a hot water cleaning machine.

The other thing is the parts this cleaner is made of. They are plastic and the parts don't actually fit right. The handle won't budge, many users noticed it at the time they bought the machine. The pet hair that is all over the carpet is from this machine. I know it's not made for pet hair, but there is no need to make the situation worse. Bissell Powerlifter doesn't clean, it mostly makes mess in your home.

It is quite strange that a powerful and well known company like Bissell can allow themselves to create something like this and market it to the people. I know there are plenty of use who would say: If it's only $50, then I won't regret if it doesn't do the job. But we actually do regret it, simply because we are humans. We want to see something from our investments, may they be money, emotions or hard work.

I do not want to go that far and call this cleaning machine a fraud, a product made to get money from people simply because they have to save it and buy more affordable machine. I can only hope buyers will remember to test drive the products they want to buy. But, all in all, Bissell Powerlifter is a carpet cleaner I wouldn't recommend to you. Lets leave it at that.
